Central mid-town venue and more flexible hours provide

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. – January 23, 2017 – Outdoor Retailer, the largest outdoor gear, apparel, accessories and technology tradeshow, announced today it will host the second annual Get Outdoors–NYC media event in New York City, May 11-12, 2017. This year’s event will be located in convenient mid-town at the Metropolitan Pavilion located at 125 W 18th St, New York, NY 10011. This location provides a platform for outdoor apparel, gear and footwear brands to present Fall 2017 lines and brand stories to the large numbers of consumer media based in the area.
Building upon the success of last year’s event attended by more than 120 journalists from print, online, blogs and broadcast outlets, Get Outdoors-NYC features a more flexible schedule catering to the needs of media and minimizing the travel expenses for participating brands. On Thursday, May 11, doors open from 1 p.m. - 8 p.m., and from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Friday, May 12. This varied schedule enables media to visit before, during and after work, while the late start on day one affords exhibiting brands time to set up in the morning prior to the start of the event. In addition, there will be a cocktail reception for media and brands on day one.

Get Outdoors-NYC will provide both turn-key booth space for an easy quick move-in solution and a new raw-space option for those looking for a larger and more custom option to present their brand story. Exhibitors are also invited to take advantage of additional branding opportunities in the new “Media Spotlight” area. This lounge gives journalists a comfortable place to meet and interview brand representatives or submit stories on site. In this area, product showcases will highlight participant’s products including a brief description and suggested ties to trend stories.
