Outdoor Retailer Joins Forces with Ragnar Relay Events to Host the
OR Relay Challenge to Support the Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition
Registration Now Open for the 9-Mile Relay Challenge Event at Outdoor Retailer
Summer Market, Friday, August 7 at 6 a.m.
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA— June 2, 2015—Ragnar Relay Events and Outdoor Retailer (OR) have once again teamed up to stage a Relay Challenge in support of the Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition (OIWC). The 9-mile relay race, held on day three of the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, is slated for Friday, August 7, 2015.
Show attendees and exhibitors are encouraged to get out of their booths, stretch their legs and network. Local Utah runners are welcome to join the race as a team or individually. Relay teams of three will enjoy a morning run on a designated looped course that conveniently starts and ends at The Pavilions @ OR across from the Salt Palace Convention Center. Interested participants can register online now. All proceeds will benefit OIWC and their mission to enhance workplace diversity.
Registration is $60 for teams of three, or $20 for individuals online or onsite, the morning of the event. Registration discounts apply for OIWC members. Visit the Relay Challenge page for additional information or to register your team.
“Outdoor Retailer is thrilled to partner with the Ragnar team for a second time to produce an event that not only provides the Outdoor Retailer running community a world-class running experience, but also encourages networking in a fun and relaxed environment,” said Liz Crawford, Outdoor Retailer VP of Marketing. “We are equally happy to support the OIWC in their efforts to support and encourage women in the outdoor industry.”
The Relay Challenge will take runners on a steady climb to the entrance of City Creek Canyon followed by an exhilarating descent back to the start. The race starts and finishes with plenty of time to get back for the opening of Outdoor Retailer’s third day of business. Outdoor Retailer is a business-to-business show and is closed to the public.
Sponsorship opportunities are still available, anyone interested should contact Sales Manager Krista Dill at 949.226.5728 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Special thank you to sponsor SmartWool.
