Give Back Badge Program Back to Winter Market 2017
Outdoor Retailer attendees and exhibitors can “Give Back”
when they register online and get a collectable patch
San Juan Capistrano, CA – September 26, 2016 – Outdoor Retailer and the Outdoor Foundation are pleased to announce that they are once again partnering to bring the Give Back Badge program back to Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2017. This unique program is designed to fund kids to get outdoors to visit their local national park.
It’s quick and easy to participate. When registering for Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2017, attendees and exhibitors are asked to make a pledge to fund one child’s effort to get to a park. Pledge dollars will go to fund regional projects across the country that have submitted their need for support through the Outdoor Foundation’s Parks4Kids website. If every Outdoor Retailer attendee participates, the program will connect 23,000 youth to the outdoors, resulting in greater outdoor participation and the overall growth of the industry. All pledge amounts are encouraged and welcomed.
For a $15 pledge, to fund national, state and local park visits, participants will receive a commemorative, originally designed Outdoor Retailer patch featuring limited edition artwork from famed outdoor industry notable and 2015 Outdoor Inspiration award winner, Jeremy Collins. Collins is a climber, artist, and activist. He is recognized for living the outdoor lifestyle and embracing the values and gifts that the outdoor experience has provided him. His work has been featured on the cover of National Geographic, and shown in the Ansel Adams Gallery. He is an award winning producer of "soul-adventure" films, and has been recognized for first ascent climbs all over the world.
