Coronavirus Update

Outdoor Retailer is a global gathering of the outdoor industry, and our friends and colleagues travel far and wide to interact with this community. Given recent news about the coronavirus, we want to share information to help ensure everyone has a safe and productive show.

We are in contact with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and they assure us that the risk to the general public is low. However, it is important to understand the symptoms, risks and proactive steps you can take to stay healthy. 

PRECAUTIONS

To protect yourself from this, or any virus, practice everyday actions:

• Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer
• Cover your nose and mouth when coughing and sneezing
• Avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms
• Stay home, or away from other individuals, if you are sick

Outdoor Retailer is providing hand-sanitizer stations throughout the Colorado Convention Center, and in all show areas – The Camp, the Trend + Design Center, Venture Out, The Daily and the Overland Experience. We are providing medical masks upon request. Please inquire at the Info Desk. 

SYMPTOMS

Symptoms of coronavirus infection may include fever, cough and/or shortness of breath and usually appear within two to 14 days.

WHEN TO SEEK MEDICAL HELP

Anyone experiencing the symptoms described above, who also has a recent history of travel to China, especially Wuhan City, should first call a healthcare provider, urgent care, or hospital for instructions before going to a clinic or emergency room.
