Flexfit and the evolution of headwear

Don’t think ballcaps are just ballcaps. They’re getting as high-tech as every other piece of outdoor apparel with innovative materials, designs, construction techniques, and more to keep them snug on your heads and the sun off. Case in point: Flexfit, the U.S. distributor of Yupoong, Inc. and a manufacturer for private label headwear for industries worldwide is challenging the norm for what adorns people’s noggins.

Since its founding in 1994, Flexfit has developed creative and innovative products, keeping innovation and quality engineering top of mind for how it tops consumers’ heads. The result is an ever-expanding collection of headwear that impacts the world one cap at a time. Billed as the original stretch-fit cap offering comfort and style, Flexfit hit the ground with its time-tested YP Classics collection, before later turning heads with its award-winning Flexfit 110, Flexfit 210, and Flexfit Delta caps. All have put the brand’s headwear head and shoulders above the rest of the field.

Technologies the company has pioneered include Flexfit Mesh, a stretchable mesh for great ventilation and comfort; Flexfit Technology, a patented, stretch-fit cap tech weaving polyurethane spandex into the sweatband and crown for elasticity (used in its Flexfit, Flexfit 110, Flexfit 210 and Flexfit Delta); Unipanel Tech, a seamless front panel providing a smooth, uninterrupted canvas for immediate wear or customization; PermaCurv, for maintaining bill shape and curve; EcoDry, an environmentally friendly treatment providing water repellency sans hazardous chemicals; Ultrafibre, synthetic fibers making the caps strong, lightweight, and wind and water resistant; Hyper Tech, providing thermal regulation when it’s cool and dry, and anti-bacterial and UV protection; and more.

New for this coming year is the NU collection, which the company calls “the all-new icon of modern comfort and style.” It boasts the new sweat-stain protection technology of ActiveGuard and comes with adjustable band options for a more expansive and comfortable fit. With enhanced Cool & Dry Technology, the six-panel structured cap with matching undervisor features a 40% thinner front panel, 20% thinner sweatband (which is now 30% more moisture absorbent), and overall is 18% more moisture absorbent.

“Built perfectly to be a seamless base for embroidery, we’ve completely redesigned the front panel to only use the necessary amount of fabric,” says Flexfit marketing manager David Kim, touting its slimmer construction overall. “With this revolutionary construction, embellishments are now flatter and smoother on our leanest and sturdiest silhouette ever. And it also diffuses sweat much faster than the traditional cap, resulting in less sweat stains, and a cleaner outer appearance.”

Flexfit’s high-end fabric and design innovation is also available in wholesale blank caps and custom headwear for other market needs.

“Our wide portfolio range show’s we’re never settling—but always evolving,” adds Kim, touting the headwear company’s nearly 30 years of manufacturing expertise in seven high-end factories throughout Vietnam and Bangladesh. “But regardless of our decades of manufacturing experience, we’re always striving to improve and perfect our hats. It’s in our DNA. We are always committed to pioneering new value from start to finish.”
