It’s Time To Show Up

We are an industry that doesn’t sit on the sidelines. We show up. We are leaders and entrepreneurs, and we’re inspiring others to find the same joy in the outdoors that we do. We’re changemakers. We fight for justice, take action on climate, and advocate for public lands.

Every day the outdoor community is working to grow and make an impact. But we are only successful with a little help from our friends. This industry is collaborative, and as much as we’ve learned to work independently, we cannot lose focus on the need to show up for each other.

Outdoor Retailer this August is an opportunity to support our community and hold those collective conversations that move our industry forward. This will be the first chance for our entire industry to come together, reassess where we are, and make plans for the future.

Who’s planning to show up? Brands ready to be seen include The North Face, Liberty Mountain, LOWA, Osprey Packs, Pendleton, Rab, GCI Outdoor, Kavu, and Wolverine, with additional exciting conversations underway – see the growing list of exhibitors here. They are coming to support specialty retailers, make new connections, and share their story.

Retailers are ready too. Over 3,000 buyers are registered so far, representing Academy Sports + Outdoors, Alpine Shop, Canadian Tire, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Huckberry, JAX, Mountain Sports, Peace Surplus, Vail Resorts, Whole Earth Provision Co., and more – find the latest list here. With stores fully open, buyers are anxious to keep inventory filled all year, and they are looking for new products.

As businesses continue to evolve, we know showing up might look a little different for everyone this summer. That’s OK. You’re on the road to recovery from the impacts of the pandemic.
